Wolf Willems is a recognised leader in Safety, Security, and Sustainability, with over 28+ years of experience in high-risk global industries such as renewable energy, oil & gas, chemicals, automotive, telecom, construction, manufacturing, forestry, and food production. Known for his strategic and hands-on approach, Willems has led transformative improvements in safety culture, environmental standards, and risk management across diverse sectors.
As the CEO of LVX Consulting, Willems oversees HSSE and Sustainability initiatives for major projects, including Stegra's Boden project, which involves a Green Steel mill, one of the world's largest Green Hydrogen plants, and a Direct Reduced Iron plant. He has previously held prominent roles, including Senior Vice President of HSSE at Stora Enso, where he implemented forward-thinking safety frameworks, and Global Head of HSSE and CSR at Hitachi Automotive Systems, where he integrated robust safety and sustainability practices into global operations.
In 2024, Willems was awarded the prestigious Pieter van Vollenhoven Medal following a nomination by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice and Security, the Dutch Prime Minister, mayors of the five largest Dutch cities, and leaders from major political parties. This honour recognised Willems' courageous work in exposing severe environmental and safety risks in the Netherlands, which prevented significant threats to public health, safeguarded the environment, and saved lives—securing his reputation as a vital advocate for industrial safety, the environment and sustainability.
